Here’s to 2023!

Happy 2023!

As we enter a new year, we often pressure ourselves (and receive pressure from others) to make grand resolutions. We should fix or improve ourselves…should take on or complete that project…should lose those pounds or get in better shape…should advance or change our career…the shoulds can become deafening and defeating. While there is nothing wrong with setting goals for ourselves, I would like to encourage us instead to choose a single word on which to engage in healthy, positive rumination in 2023. Think of a word that lights you up or calms you down. Set this word as an intention and a mantra as you navigate the year’s challenges and triumphs.
