The Practice of Presence…
September, 2022
Hi there,
Fall is quickly approaching and many of us may be gearing up for busier schedules, transitioning ourselves/our kids back to school, or longing to return to that relaxing summer vacation.
As you enter into the next season, here is a helpful tool to stay present in your life. This practice keeps us grounded and grateful and can be done anywhere and anytime. Try it before your feet hit the floor in the morning…as you sip your favorite drink…on your drive to work/school…at your desk…instead of scrolling on your phone…when you crash at the end of a busy day.
The Practice of Presence
NOTICE: Look around and notice 5 things you can see.
FEEL: Hug yourself and feel 4 things you can touch.
LISTEN: Close your eyes and listen for 3 things you can hear.
BREATHE: Inhale deeply and breathe in 2 things you can smell.
REFLECT: Exhale slowly and name 1 thing for which you are grateful.
If you are in need of some time to pull away and grow into a deeper connection with yourself, we’d love to have you join us at one of our upcoming retreats.
Be well,
Jodi
